New year, new decade.

This last decade def had its ups and downs. I went through some of the worst and some of the best things ever! It’s crazy to think how Y2K seemed not so long ago.. And I was only 12! Ha ha. This next year is going to be amazing. And the decade will be even better!
Here are some of my memorable moments of the past year. :)

2009-
Erik and I got our first place together.
We quit smoking together.
We set our wedding date.
I got my new job at the UA.
Erik was promoted to store manager @ Trane.

2010..

Healthy, fit, happy.

Ok.. So those of you who know me, and have known me for a long time, you know I was really over weight most of my life. I was always bigger than all the other girls, even in elementary! I never had confidence, and it totally ruined my self esteem. High School was the worst.. I got up to my heaviest my junior year. Not to mention my acne was raging AND I had braces.. Talk about awkward stage. (That's besides the point)
My senior year I finally started to lose weight. It took me a longgg time, but a couple years out of high school I was 40 pounds lighter (finally!)
I've managed to maintain that SOMEWHAT. I've never gotten anywhere close to my heaviest weight, but I did gain almost 20 pounds when I moved out east! (Erik's mom is an amazing cook, ha ha!) But I've almost lost all that extra weight, haha.
Well.. as you probably know.. Erik and I are getting married in July. And what girl doesn't wanna look smokin hot on her wedding day!? Exactly..
That is what brings me to my new obsession. I know you could never tell when you look at me, but I am seriously addicted to anything fitness, weight loss, exercise related! I am always getting new work out videos, reading weight loss blogs, looking at health magazines, pics, etc.. I just love the motivation it gives me!!
These past few weeks I've been working really hard at the gym, and I can ACTUALLY see it when I look in the mirror! (Erik tells me all the time too, which is awesome) But the one thing I really need to work on, and its probably the BIGGEST part about fitness, is my eating!! I am a freakin junk food junkie!! I am addicted to it. Soooo.. I really need to kick that habit! Please please give me any tips, advice or anything you can! I'd love to hear it :)

P.S, I love Jillian Michaels and I want my body to look like this! (One day it will :) Just add like 4 inches to her height! ha ha)

Update!

Ok so I pretty much suck at this blogging thing.. Not that many people read it anyways! Hahaha.. And I haven't been taking many pics lately (which needs to change), so I apologize for the boring blog post.. But I will update you the best I can!
So Thanksgiving was wonderful! It was just me and Erik, and his parents. We ate a wonderful (healthy) dinner, then went to see A Christmas Carol in 3D. It was awesome!! It totally got me ready for Xmas.
Erik and I did our first black friday shopping! Neither of us had done it, and we didn't really want anything, we just wanted to experience it. Ha ha (Sounds crazy, I know) WELL.. We didn't wake up as early as we had planned, but we were still out the door around 6 am. We went to Best Buy, Target, Michaels, and the mall. It was a good time :) We both had 4 day weekends that week, so it was AMAZING! We had so much fun together :)
We put up our very first Christmas tree! It was pretty exciting, and it is so cute too! I wanted to do silver and white decorations, and we got the cutest ornaments at Target. The tree is still a little sparse.. We need to invest in more Xmas decorations!
As part of our Christmas presents to each other, we both got the new Motorola Droid. (iPhones competition) And I have to say.. They are pretty bad ass! Erik is seriously OBSESSED with his. It's his "other girlfriend" ha ha. I tried taking a few pics of us on Black Friday, but he wouldn't put his damn phone down! You can see for yourself in the pics I will post.
We are headed to Utah in 12 DAYS!!!!! I am sooooo excited. Not only because I am missing everyone, but also because Erik hasn't been in a WHOLE YEAR, and we finally get to travel there together again. And we get to spend Christmas with both of our families :) We have a full week jam packed with plans, and I am so excited. We finally get to meet with our wedding cooridinator, and start making official wedding plans!! I've done a few things, but I feel kind of stuck now.. Like I don't know where to start. So hopefully meeting with her will get the ball rolling. (If any of you have any wedding planning advice, PLEASE share!)

Halloween!!!

Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday! I loveee seeing everyone all dressed up. This year we were cops/detectives. It was hilarious! Everywhere we went, everyone would point and laugh at my costume. (I hope that meant they liked it?) Hahaha anyways, enjoy the pics!

So Erik's momma took us on a boat tour around the Chesapeake Bay, and it was gorgeous! Freezing, but gorgeous! Enjoy the pics :)

We're getting married! (Finally!) :)

So.. We set our new date!! July 7, 2010. The original plan was 7/7/2012, so we bumped it up 2 years! :) We are both sooooo excited!
It was so cute.. Erik and I were laying in bed and he asked, "Wanna get married next year?" I thought he was kidding, so I didn't believe him. I am SOOO stoked!!

I just want you to know how much I love you. I love you with all of my heart, body, and soul. You are the one thing that keeps me sane. I love your smile, your lips, your heart, your laugh, your sense of humor, your intelligence, the way you look at me, I love that you always hold my hand, I love your sweet kisses, and I just love YOU. What would I do without you?

This month..

So a lot has happened over the summer. And this month especially. Let me update you..




I decided to go to school to become an RN. I have always loved the medical field, I've just been beating around the bush because I was scared of "blood and guts" Hence the reason I tried dental assisting (Not my thing) And it is why I became an esthetician. These things were as close as I felt like I could get to medical, without being grossed out. But as time passed, I realized I wasn't scared of those stupid things anymore. And I am sick of pretending like I am close to the medical field. (Sorry but painting toenails IS NOT the medical field.) So.. after a few words of encouragement from friends, and my wonderful fiancee, I have began the process of starting school! I can't wait! I wish I could be a nurse right now. But that might cause a few legal issues.. Ha ha. BUT.. I am going to try to find a REAL medical job while I am in school. Even if I am just changing bed sheets in the hospital :)




Oh Utah.. How I miss you! I am coming to see you August 29th, and I am very excited! I love life on the east coast, but there is just something about home. Not to mention I miss my family and friends like crazy! The trip will be short, but sweet. :)

And last, but DEFINATELY not least.. Meet Eden.




This little beauty was born early this morning. She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz. And is 21 inches long. Isn't she gorgeous? Eden is truely a blessing sent to my family. She is teaching all of us so many things, in so many different ways. And she is not even 1 day old. I love her with all of my heart, and I can't wait to meet her.

Our Crazy Awesome Summer!

Summer is definately my favorite season! The sun and warmth just make me so happy! Not to mention my birthday and anniversary are both in July :)
This was my first summer spent living in Maryland. And I have to say, I had an awesome time! I just wish fam and friends were here to enjoy all the east coast has to offer!! Here are some pics of us through out the summer.

We went to Atlantic city over the 4th of July weekend, and for our anniversary on July 7th. It was a blast! I got to gamble for my first time, see the Atlantic Ocean for the first time, all sorts of awesome new things.

We went to Kings Dominion with our friends this summer. This amusement park seriously kicks ass.
